Description:
The day's activities will include games and presentations on the rules-of-the road such as sign recognition and proper signaling. Technicians will be on hand to check the safety of children's bicycles, and to ensure their bikes and helmets fit properly. Children will then have the opportunity to test their new street skills on an outside obstacle course, monitored by bike safety instructors. And, while supplies last, children will receive a free bike helmet courtesy of the NYC Department of Transportation. This event is presented in partnership with NYC Department of Transportation and the New York Chapter of the National Safe Kids Campaign. The day gives children the opportunity to have some fun while learning how to stay safe this summer on the road. Admission is free for all programs. Children are encouraged to bring their bicycles.
